Introduction

Our humble beginning commenced in the early eighties when a group of dedicated people established the masjid in a house at Fennel Crescent, Broadfield, Crawley (currently the Imam’s Residence). It was a difficult struggle to operate Masjid from these premises due to residential locality and growing Muslim population with its evolving needs. In 1982 the Masjid had formulated a Constitution and was registered with the Charity Commission. inaam

A site was acquired nearby in 1994 to develop a purpose built Masjid with onsite parking facilities. The construction of the Masjid was completed in 1996 with generous donations of the local people and more notable contribution of £500k from the Sheikh in Dubai. In 2011 the Masjid was further extended to triple its size at a cost of £1.25M in order to meet the growing needs of the Muslim population.
